How’s going? Here is Naracoorte and it is freezin cold.
Some of my friend does not have obvious answer where to ride the bus to Melbourne at Naracoorte. However, the correct answer is little bit different from expectation.
So let me explain how to go to Melbourne from Naracoorte, South Australia by public transport.

長い梅雨、こっちは寒い冬ですが、いかがお過ごしでしょうか。気温は1度で凍えそうです。
今回は公共交通機関で、南オーストラリア、ナラコートから、メルボルンへの行き方を紹介します。
(記事を書いたのは去年の冬(日本の夏)でした)
Actually, one of my friend tried to get out from Naracoorte to Melbourne, and asked some local people where to ride on bus. Sometime, they answered ”it may be somewhere on this street and point out the street from the world’s biggest American cuisine restaurant, McSomeone or ”it is Robinson street”, but they does not know the place exactly.
I think it is because local people has their own car.
実は私がメルボルンへ行く前に、友達はここからメルボルンへ行こうとしていて、バス停を探し出そうとしたのですが、地元の人はバス停の正確な位置を知らないみたいで、「たぶんこの道のどこか」とかそんなことを言ってました。
あるホテルの人は、この道を曲がって真っ直ぐだ。ユーキャンノットミスイット！！と言ってましたが、それはメルボルンへの行き方でした。歩いていけるわけはありません。
ナラコートは車社会の田舎なので、誰もバスなんて使わないのでしょう。
By the way, the bus departs from Naracoorte once a day, and it is only week day. So this service is not available on Saturday, Sunday, and Public holiday.
ところで、このバスは1日一本で、土日祝日は休みです。
How can you imagine bus stop on the street, but once a day?
日本にはなかなか無いと思いますが、そういう場合ってバス停ってどんな風になるでしょうか。
I think it should be like that in Japan.
日本だとせめてこんな感じにはなると思います。

で、その下には時刻表があります。
In Naracoorte, it was like this. It is too simple to find and pretend not to exist on the street.
So if you did not take bus, it should not be paid any attention of pedestrian.
Because it is too thin for my friend to find it.
ナラコートではこんな感じ、バスに乗ろうと思わなければ気が付かないような大きさで存在します。看板が時刻表を兼ねていて超シンプル。シンプル イズ ザ ベスト！！ですね。
Anyway, we have to go to Melbourne ”via Horsham”.
ま、メルボルンに行くにはどっちにしろホーシャムを経由しなければなりません。
Don’t worry!! If you went to bus stop nearby Woolworth and in front of Thai restaurant, the bus should be stopping there.
心配しなくても6時40分くらいにバス停に行けば、バスはそこで止まっています。私のバスは6時58分に出ましたので、少しだけ早めに行った方が良いです。
It costs 30AUD to Horsham.
料金は30ドルです。
After departure, the sun will be rising and temp is getting warmer.
出発後、東から日が昇って生きて、暖かくなります。
I am heading to same direction as the place of sunrise.
この日の出の方向に向かって今日の旅は続きます。
The bus is actually for local person and it also be carrying fresh fishes, breads, and newspapers.
Toilet is not installed into the bus, so you need to do it before the departure.
実はこのバスは地方交通用で、人間のほかに魚とか、新聞とか、まぁいろいろ積んでいます。
オーストラリアでは珍しく、トイレがバスの中にありませんでした。
3時間ほど乗車しますので、出発前に宿でトイレには行っておいてください。
At Edenhope, it sounds like heaven, but the driver deliver the news paper to the place and put some fishes and breads into the bus. It is exactly real life and human is arriving even such a place.
エデンホープでは新聞を店に配達して、魚とパンを積みました。
こんな天国のような名前のところにも人は生き続けています。
After that, I slept and got to Horsham. It was 5 past 10. We are getting off at last stop of this bus.
There is the bus terminal and we can buy the ticket to Melbourne from here.
Ticketing counter is available into the building and we need to purchase the ticket and wait the bus in front of this building.
この後爆睡してホーシャムに着きます。景色は変わり映え無いので、飽きた人から寝るでしょう。バスの終点で降りると、写真のような建物の前なので、この建物に入って次の目的地までの切符を買いましょう。
If you had a idea to go to Ballarat where is famous place, you need to decide before purchasing the ticket.
もしバララットに行こうかなって思っていたら、ここで決断をして、メルボルン行きの切符を買うか、バララットに行くか決めなければいけません。
We will take the bus from Horsham to Ararat (red line).
For the other bus, passenger will change to the train at Ballarat, meanwhile you need to check transit point if you came back from Melbourne to Naracoorte or Horsham.
ここからアララト(Ararat)までバスに乗ります。他のバスだとメルボルンへ行く際にバララット(Ballarat)乗り換えもあり得るようなので、もし逆に旅行する場合には乗換地点を確認する必要があります。
Red is bus and Black is train. We will take the bus departs Horsham 10:35 and we suppose to arrive at Melbourne(Southern cross) at 14:31.
赤色がバスで黒が列車の時刻です。ナラコートからここに到着したのが10時ちょっとですので、これから10時35分発のバスに乗ります。時刻表によると14時31分にメルボルンのサザンクロス駅に到着予定です。
チケットは37ドルでした。ナラコートからの総額は67ドルです。
Ticket to Southern cross is 37AUD, so total amount from Naracoorte to Melbourne should be 67AUD.
Ararat Service departs from exactly same point where the Horsham service terminates.
アララト行はナラコート発のバスが到着した場所と全く同じところから出ます。
And, there is no place selling foods around the terminal, so I recommend you to take small bite.
ちなみにこのターミナルの周辺には軽食を売ってたりするところはありません。
Purchasing the tickets took time and there is no time to buy some foods.
そしてチケットを買う時間があるので、実質なにか食べ物を買える可能性はありません。
The driver checking seat belt laughing and try to take a wig on his friend off.

運転手は乗り合わせた友人の鬘(かつら)を笑いながら剥がそうとしてます。
ハハハハ、ハハー
After the ticket and wig check, the bus finally departs to Ararat.
検札と検鬘の後、バスはアララトに向かって出発します。
After the departure, you can see too wide landscape of Victoria state.
バスが出た後はビクトリア州の広すぎる風景が広がります。
You can see rainbow, sometime. Can you see it?
たまに虹が見えます。
And sometime, you can see big Koala. Actually it is artificial statue.
そんでもってたまにデカいコアラも見れます。
After that, we will arrive Ararat Station. No place for food is available around.
So we should buy some small bite backward, it is important, so I can say twice.
でアララトとかいうなんもないとこに到着します。
食事は買えませんので、あらかじめクッキーでも買っといてください。
大事なことなので2回いいました。
When we got off the bus, we can see train platform where we will ride on the train easily.
It is just in front of you.
バスを降りると目の前に駅の入り口があります。
We can see the train, and just get on.
列車が駅に既に入ってますので乗りましょう。
Train or Bus, whichever the window describe same place.
電車だろうがバスだろうか景色は変わり映えありません。
Arriving at Ballarat. It seems to cool place and worth visiting, but since I have already bought the ticket, I will head to Melbourne straightforward.
バララットは列車の窓からみた感じよさげな感じでしたが、既に切符を買ってしまっているので、メルボルンに直行します。
After Ballarat, we can see different sights and it got up and down.
バララット出発後はすこし起伏のある風景になります。
I got hungry around here, so it is good for you to visit Ballarat and eat something, I think.
で、この辺でお腹が空いてきます。なんでバララットに寄ってなんか食べるってのもありかもしれません。
After that, I got slept again and arrived at Southern Cross station.
その後再度爆睡し、サザンクロス駅につきます。電車で寝ても何も取られていません。
The arrival time was 14:31 sharp.
到着は31分ちょうどでした。
