You can take international bus, flight, and train, but let me introduce abnormal way to go to Nanning from Hanoi.
ハノイから南寧までは、国際バスとか飛行機とか、列車で行くこともできます。
ここではあまり普通じゃない行き方を紹介したいと思います。
Hanoi to the border
I think you can find the mini bus at Long Biên bus terminal, but actually, it is not exactly the bus terminal. Why ”I think”?, because the departure place is moved, sometime. I think it is almost the place below, you can walk around and look for the place.

ハノイから国境まで行くミニバスがロンビエンバスターミナルから出ます。正確に言うとロンビエンバスターミナルの近くから出るので、探し回る必要があります。だいたいこの辺からバスが出発します。
The name of the border is Yŏuyì Guān, and the name of the city is Lang Song. So we need to take bus to Lang Song.
国境の名前はユーイークァン（友誼関）ですが、国境の町はランソン（Lang Song）なので、ランソン行きのバスに乗ります。
Travel time is long. I forgot how long it was, but long. I departed from Hanoi at 1 o’clock, and got to Nanning in the midnight. When I arrived at the border, it was getting dark, and there is no bus service from the border, according to the taxi driver(I’m not sure he says true or lie).
So, I recommend you depart at Hanoi in the early morning.
移動時間は長いです。何時間かは忘れてしまいましたが、正午にハノイを出ると真夜中に南寧に到着します。なので、おそらく約半日かかってます。国境についたころには真っ暗で、バスはないみたいな感じになっていたので、ハノイを朝出ることを強くお勧めします。
The border
Once again, the border’s name is Yŏuyì Guān which means friendship pass in Chinese, but actually, the history of the border is far from Friendship. In South East Asia, and East Asia, there are so many friendship something. Friendship bridge, Friendship gate, Friendship sometime at the border. However, the history is tend not to so friendly. I think it is their hope or public stance.
国境の名前はYŏuyì Guānですが、中越関係は友好とはかけ離れている感じです。実は東南アジアとか東アジアで「友好橋」とか「友好なんとか」系はたくさんあるのですが、時代背景は友好とは程遠い感じになっている傾向があります。これは彼らの希望なのか、建前なのかってとこはよーわかりません。
This border is interesting to see. This historical border was build by Ming Dinasty.
この国境は明代に作られたもので、わりと面白いと思います。
You have to visit Vietnamese immigration first, and then Chinese immigration. Some country is required to take Visa for the entrance to China. You may well check first, before you go to the border, because Hanoi has the embassy of China in Vietnam. You should go through the gate afterward.
最初にベトナムのイミグレーションで出国手続きをし、そのあと中国のイミグレーションで入国手続きをします。15日以上滞在する場合はビザが必要になりますが、後で主要都市でビザ延長の手続きができるので、とりあえずは入国できます。
Sometime, for Japanese, the immigration officer said 钓鱼岛是中国的, which means the dispute island is belonging to China or something. I am not sure about your country. For my impression, after Xi Jingping, the attitude of public officer is improved.
ここの国境を通る時に日本人に釣魚島は中国のものだ！って叫ぶ係員がいたらしいのですが、習近平政権以降、公務員の態度は前よりよくなったんじゃないかなという印象を受けました。私の場合は中国武警のお兄さんが日本語で「お気をつけて」と言ってくれました。

If you could go through the border, successfully, you need to head to bus terminal.
I am not sure you are welcomed or not, but taxi driver must be annoying, I think.
Furthermore, they does not speak English.
You need to learn Chinese just a little bit, guess the situation, collect the list of the words, and print it.
In my case, I did not have any bus service, I took taxi to PingXiang, GangXi province. It costed 30RMB, so you can negotiate if the price is higher than 30RMB.
You need to get information, otherwise you get cheated.
国境を通過したら、バスターミナルを目指しましょう。そこから南寧行きがあるはずです。
私はバスをみつけられなかったので、タクシーで近くのピンシャンって街まで行きました。30元でした。なので30元以上を提示されたら20元あたりから交渉してみることをお勧めします。
I think you can get bus service to Nanning, if you departed Hanoi in the morning.
もし、ハノイを早朝出ていれば、南寧行きのバスがあると思います。

I think the bus is stopped nearby railway station. It depends on Bus company, but my bus from PingXiang is terminated near the station.
After that
You can go to Guilin桂林 Guangzhou广州, and any other place by the train.
You can also take bus.
In China, Google isn’t working due to Great fire wall.

ちなみに中国に入った後はGoogleは使えませんので、必要な情報はベトナムにいるうちに調べたいです。
